weBreathe Breathwork Facilitator Training: Conscious Expansion Breathwork®, Reiki 1 and 2, and CPR

An 8-week hybrid training in Austin, TX and online with Natasha Baillères, M.A., M.Ed. Science-backed and spirit-led.

In February 2026, I made the hard decision to postpone our 2026 cohort. I had already accepted students, and weBreathe was in a season of growth that would have kept me from showing up for them the way this training requires. I'm accessible and present for every person I train, and that container deserves my full energy. Postponing was the honest choice.

I don't have a new date yet, and I won't guess at one here. When the next cohort is set, I'll email everyone on the waitlist.

If you feel called to guide people through breathwork, this is the training where we go deep. You'll learn to facilitate Conscious Expansion Breathwork® for groups and individuals, coach Breathwork for Self-Control and Emotion Regulation, and work with Reiki energy healing, all with the safety training and psychological integration tools that deeper work needs.

About Natasha

I'm Natasha Baillères, and my friends call me Tash. I hold an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University's Spirit Mind Body Institute, where I also served for two years on the leadership team and as a graduate admissions counselor, and an M.Ed. in Psychology from Pepperdine University. Before weBreathe, I produced digital media for the NFL and Snap.

In 2019, during my first year at Columbia, I lost my brother. Breath was the thing that carried me through that grief, and sharing it became non-negotiable for me. I wrote about losing him in my book, Please Don't Go. I've studied many types of breathwork, and I created Conscious Expansion Breathwork® by bringing breath together with Reiki, sound, and cacao. Clients have described these sessions as "out of body" and "years of healing in a flash." One compared it to Holotropic work: "powerfully healing without 3 hours of screaming; I had space to process."

I'm a Reiki Master, a Registered Yoga Teacher, and a professional member of the International Breathwork Foundation. I'd encourage you to research any founder before you train with them, me included.

Together, weBreathe.

Safety and credentials

How I approach safety. Consciously changing the breath to reach expanded states is powerful, and it deserves training to match. Every weBreathe facilitator who leads altered-state work is CPR certified and trained in psychological integration. You'll learn safety protocols, trauma-informed group facilitation, and how to ground people before, during, and after a session.

Screening starts with you. The application asks you to confirm that you've researched the health conditions that aren't suitable for breathwork practices, and it helps us both decide whether this training is right for you.

What you earn. When you complete the coursework, the practice sessions, and your in-person final lesson plan, you graduate as a weBreathe Facilitator and Breathwork Coach, with Reiki Level 1 and 2 and CPR certification. You can then register as a professional member with the International Breathwork Foundation. Breathwork isn't a licensed profession, so this is an educational training that certifies you to facilitate Conscious Expansion Breathwork®. It doesn't qualify you to provide psychological therapy, and it isn't a credential for CMTE credits.

My credentials

  • M.A., Clinical Psychology, Columbia University, Spirit Mind Body Institute (NY)
  • M.Ed., Graduate School of Education and Psychology, Pepperdine University (CA)

  • Breathwork training, Loka Yoga School (Bali) and the International Breathwork Foundation, where I'm a professional member
  • Reiki Master
  • Registered Yoga Teacher
  • Yoga Alliance continuing education provider
  • Instructor of a CMTE-approved course through The Self-Care Institute, the approved provider
  • Author of Please Don't Go, a book about sibling loss
  • Two years on the leadership team and graduate admissions team at Columbia's Spirit Mind Body Institute

At WeBreathe, we guide you to unlock the transformative power of your breath through immersive experiences and professional training. Whether you're seeking personal growth or looking to become a certified Conscious Expansion breathwork facilitator, our techniques are designed to help you and your clients embark on a journey of healing and self-discovery.

Our founder, Natasha Baillères, developed four unique techniques inspired by diverse breathwork practices. In comparison to Holotropic sessions, these experiences have been described as “out-of-body exploration journeys” and “powerfully healing without 3 hours of screaming; I had space to process”. Incorporation of Usui Reiki facilitation assists with moving energy through the body, creating a space for deep transformation.

he WeBreathe Mission

We bridge the gap between traditional therapy and spiritual practices by offering measurable, transformative breathwork experiences. Our mission is to provide tools that empower you to process emotions, release stress, and elevate your well-being naturally.

Breathwork isn’t just a practice—it’s a gateway to healing, growth and your inner knowing. By engaging in conscious breathing, you awaken your body’s innate ability to heal, releasing stress, anxiety, and pain while opening doors to new possibilities in your life or your clients’ lives.

The Science Behind Breathwork

Research reveals breathwork’s profound impact on mental and emotional health:

  • Boosts Neurotransmitters: Increases dopamine and serotonin, enhancing happiness and well-being.
  • Reduces Cortisol: Lowers stress hormones, fostering a calm and balanced state of mind.
  • Alters Brain Activity: Mimics the effects of psychedelics by stimulating the prefrontal cortex, the brain’s hub for attention, decision-making, and emotional regulation.
Why Choose WeBreathe?

Join us to discover how harnessing the power of your breath can create profound change in your life. Whether you're here for personal transformation or to facilitate healing for others, you can trust your guide to bridge traditional therapeutic tools to create a safe environment for spiritual exploration. FAQ

When is the next weBreathe facilitator training?

There isn't a date yet. I postponed the 2026 cohort in February 2026 so I could give the next group the support this training needs. Join the waitlist and you'll hear from me first when dates are set.

How long does breathwork facilitator training take?

It varies a lot by method. The weBreathe Facilitator Training is an 8-week hybrid program: weekly live calls online on Sundays, online coursework, and one in-person weekend intensive in Austin, TX, where you demonstrate your final lesson plan. Some methods take much longer. Holotropic Breathwork, founded by Stanislav Grof, is a 2.5-year training, so if you see an online course offering Holotropic certification, question it.

How much does breathwork facilitator training cost?

Tuition is $3,333. Accepted students reserve their space with a $300 non-refundable deposit, and you can choose to pay in installments on the application. If you refer a friend and they're accepted, you get 20% off your training and they get 10% off theirs. You can also apply for a partial scholarship. The online Toolkit ($222 on its own) is included.

Do I get Yoga Alliance or CE credits?

The Breathwork Toolkit included in the training counts for 30 Yoga Alliance continuing education hours for Registered Yoga Teachers. When you graduate, you're eligible to register as a professional member with the International Breathwork Foundation. The facilitator training isn't a CMTE credential. If you're a music therapist or recreation therapist who needs CMTE or NCTRC hours, look at my course with The Self-Care Institute.

Is breathwork facilitator certification legit?

Breathwork isn't a licensed profession, so the useful question is what a certification actually trained you to do. Ask about in-person practice, supervised facilitation, safety training, and who the teacher is. In this training you practice in person, give and receive sessions with your cohort, demonstrate a final lesson plan to me and your cohort, and graduate CPR certified and trained in Reiki Level 1 and 2. It's an educational training that certifies you to facilitate Conscious Expansion Breathwork®, and it doesn't qualify you to provide psychological therapy.

Do I need breathwork experience to become a facilitator?

No prior training is required. If you haven't experienced a deep-dive breathwork session yourself, I'd encourage you to come to one before you apply, so you know what you'd be guiding people into. Admission is by application, which helps both of us decide if the training is the right fit.

What's the difference between Conscious Expansion and calming breathwork?

Calming breathwork, which I teach as Breathwork for Self-Control and Emotion Regulation, uses slow, controlled patterns to settle the nervous system and works well for individuals, classes, and workplaces. Conscious Expansion Breathwork® is my signature method for deeper group and private sessions. It uses heightened, dream-like breathing patterns with sound frequency headsets and Reiki, followed by psychological integration. This training teaches you to guide both, and to know which one a person needs.

What can I do while I wait for the next facilitator training?

Start with the online Breathwork Toolkit, which is part of the facilitator training and teaches the 18 regulation techniques you'll build on. If you need CMTE or NCTRC hours, take my course with The Self-Care Institute. Coming to a Conscious Expansion session in Austin or Los Angeles is another good step, especially if you haven't experienced a deep-dive session yet.

If this work is calling you, get on the list. I'll reach out as soon as the next cohort has a date.
